Fassora enrolled at Penn State following an impressive ECNL career with Real Colorado
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Soccer and head coach Tom Stone have announced the addition of Penn State defender Emma Fassora.
A native of Louisville, Colo., Fassora played her club soccer with the historic Real Colorado program for coaches Lorne Donaldson, Lyle Lebere and April Kater.
Ranked as a top-200 prospect out of high school, Fassora played in four matches for Penn State a season ago, tallying 69 total minutes.
A veteran of both the US Olympic Development Program and the USYNT, Fassora also trained with the KC Current's Reserve Team.
In 2024, Fassora led Real to the ECNL Conference Cup and was a multiple time ECNL Girls Northwest All-Conference selection.
A graduate of Monarch High School, Fassora also ran track in high school and was a four-time Academic Honor Roll selection and was the Spanish Honor Society President.
Emma has one brother, Jake, who swam collegiately at RPI.
Fassora continues a strong pipeline of Colorado players heading to Lubbock that started with Janine Beckie and has included All-Big 12 performers like Peyton Parsons and Kylie Bahr.
The versatile defender will enroll at Texas Tech later this summer and joins BYU transfer Addie Sine and former Real teammate GK Addie Todd (FSU) in the Red Raiders transfer portal class.
HEAD COACH TOM STONE:
"Emma is a special player with terrific experience at both Real Colorado and Penn State. She is a class player with a wonderful growth mindset and an impressive desire to compete at the highest levels. Her personality and family are a perfect fit for our team dynamic and we believe that Emma will have a great impact on our program from the minute she gets on campus. I'm excited to coach her and add her to our 2026 team this fall."
