Tech consensus No. 1 after 6-0 weekend
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Red Raiders were named to No. 1 team in the country across all four polls for the first time in program history after their 6-0 weekend.
Tech's big win came against No. 11 Texas A&M on the road, a game they won 3-2 behind the bat of Mia Williams and the arm of NiJaree Canady.
Gerry Glasco's offense looks to be one of the best in the country already as they recorded 64 runs on 62 RBI, both of which rank second in the country.
Tech will face some stiffer competition this week as they have No. 7 Florida State, No. 23 FAU and No. 11 Nebraska in Clearwater this weekend.
UP NEXT: Tech will travel to Clearwater for the Shriner's Invitational next week.
