PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Texas Tech women's golf senior Lauren Zaretsky registered her first top-10 of the season after firing a final round 72 (E) Sunday at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The team shared a tie for sixth with Mississippi State at 28-over-par.

Zaretsky traded a birdie and a bogey on both nines en route to an even par round to share a tie for eighth place at level par for the 54-hole event. The finish was her best since last October's Jim West Challenge, where she shared a tie for second.

Making a final round push eight spots up the leaderboard, Wake Forest sophomore transfer Denisa Vodickova fired a final round 1-under-par of 71. She went out with a 2-under-par front nine, carding two birdies, before dropping two shots to one birdie on the back nine. Vodickova finished in a tie for 19th with her teammate, freshman Amy Squires, who shot a final round 75.

Texas A&M took the Carmel Cup at 13-under-par, going wire-to-wire. The Aggies commanded a 26-shot victory over runner-up Vanderbilt.

Aggies' Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio took the individual title with a 4-under-par final round 68, where she played her final 14 holes in 5-under-par. Her 8-under-par total was enough to defeat her teammate Vanessa Borovilos and Mississippi State's Avery Weed by one shot.

Texas Tech women's golf will travel to Oakmont Country Club in Corinth to compete in the Sam Golden Invitational Sept. 8-9.
