The Red Raiders and Aggies will play for the second-straight season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Baseball opens the final homestand of the season on Tuesday night when it welcomes New Mexico State to Rip Griffin Park.
Tuesday's midweek with the Aggies will mark the second-straight season that Tech will host the Aggies.
The Red Raiders return home after a weekend series at No. 16 WVU where Tech took the opening game of the series before dropping a heartbreaking 3-2 contest on Saturday and a 5-0 contest on Sunday. The back-to-back losses marks the first time this season that the Red Raiders lost a series when winning the series opener.

* The Red Raiders return home for the final homestand of the season. The five game homestand includes Tuesday's midweek contest against New Mexico State as well as the weekend series against UCF and a midweek reschedule of a contest against ACU. The homestand was originally supposed six games and included a Wednesday midweek this week against New Mexico that was mutually canceled due to finals week and projected weather.

* The Red Raiders will welcome New Mexico State on Tuesday night for the second consecutive season. The Red Raiders swept NMSU in a midweek contest last yr. The Red Raiders have won 11 straight contests against New Mexico State.

*After playing 23 of the last 26 games against teams that are currently projected to make the field of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, Texas Tech has reached a portion of their schedule against teams that are not projected to make the current field without winning their conference tournament. With just eight games remaining against New Mexico State (1), UCF (3), ACU (1) and BYU (3), the combined records of those four opponents is just 95-89. Abilene Christian has the best record amongst that group of opponents at 27-18 while NM State is just 22-25. UCF sits one-game above .500 at 24-23 while BYU sits one-under .500 at 22-23.
