Tech set for home finale vs. ACU

The Red Raiders and Wildcats will play at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon
LUBBOCK, Texas – With just one week until the start of the 2025 Big 12 Conference Tournament, Texas Tech Baseball will close its home slate on Tuesday afternoon against Abilene Christian.
First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
The Red Raiders will look to close out the regular season home slate with a win in the finale before closing the regular season at BYU.

* The Red Raiders close a five-game homestand and the 2025 home schedule on Tuesday when they welcome Abilene Christian to Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. The Red Raiders already have defeated ACU once this season, a 9-2 victory back on April 21 in Abilene.Â

* In the win against ACU back on the 21st of April, the Red Raiders got off to a strong start as the Red Raiders scored two or more runs in four of the first five innings including three first inning runs off Iain Campa. In the win over ACU, eight of nine Red Raiders had a hit and all nine Red Raiders either had a hit or an RBI. Freshman Jace Souza went 3-for-5 int he win while Peyton Schulze also went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

*With just one week left in the regular season before the 2025 Big 12 Championship in Arlington, the Red Raiders currently sit in ninth place in the Big 12 standings. Having already clinched a spot in the 12-team field of the Big 12 Championship, the Red Raiders can still finish anywhere between seven and 11 in the final standings. If the Red Raiders are the seven seed they would face the 10 seed at 4 p.m. on Wednesday (May 21) while the eight and nine seed are scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both contests are set to air on ESPNU.
