
Lady Raiders to host NCAA first, second rounds

LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 13-ranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders were selected to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament on Monday afternoon. As the 1-seed in the Lubbock Regional, Tech will welcome 2-seeded Stanford, 3-seeded FIU and 4-seeded Boston University to West Texas this weekend at the McLeod Tennis Center.
The Lady Raiders will take on Boston University in the first round on Friday at 1 p.m. Stanford and FIU will play at 10 a.m. on Friday as well. The winners will face in the second round on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Texas Tech is 22-2 overall and went 12-1 in Big 12, earning a share of the regular-season title. The team would go on to win the Big 12 Tournament title the following week for the second time in program history and first time since 2017. Texas Tech hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament five other times – in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
