November 12, 2025 | Women's Tennis
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team has signed Raegan Farm, Teodora Prisadnikova and Valerie Shue to the 2026-27 roster announced by head coach Adam Herendeen on Wednesday afternoon.
"Coach Pat and I are thrilled about this early signing class," Herendeen said. "All three of these student athletes will fit really well into the culture we have built here, and we are certain that all three of them will be instrumental to the success and future of Red Raider Tennis."
Teodora Prisadnikova | Newcastle, England
Teodora Prisadnikova comes to Tech from Newcastle, England and is set to join the Lady Raiders next fall. Prisadnikova attended school at Gosforth Academy where she received the Top Athlete of the Year award. Training at the Northumberland Tennis Academy for the last 11 years, Prisadnikova won her first juniors singles title in October at the J60 Loughborough. At the tournament, she picked up five wins, including one over Nehir Tuna (ITF 727), en route to the title.
Prisadnikova made a singles finals appearance at both the J30 Sofia and at the J30 Edinburgh. Reaching a career-high ITF juniors ranking of No. 896 and checking in at third in the country in the Girls 16U category, Prisadnikova recorded an impressive victory at the Glasgow 75k over Sarafina Hansen, who boasts a career-best WTA ranking of No. 1032 and an ITF women's singles ranking of No. 126. Prisadnikova has earned five British tournament titles in her career, won the 16U grade 1 doubles tournament and put together a 25-6 singles record this year, winning 13-straight matches from September to October.
"Coach Pat met Teddy this summer and knew right away that she was exactly the kind of player that we needed," Herendeen said. "She went on an absolute tear this summer and fall, winning three high level tournaments in a row, and we are certain that she has the tools to contribute to our singles and doubles lineup right away."
Raegan Farm | North Bend, Oregon
An incoming freshman in the 2026-27 season, Farm was a letterwinner at North Bend High School in tennis, basketball and volleyball. A three-time tennis team caption and three-time tennis MVP, Farm won back-to-back tennis state championships in 2024 and 2025, while finishing second at state as a freshman. Last year, she never dropped a set, winning her championship match by a 6-3, 7-6 (6) score, while also dominating her other matches by scores of 6-1, 6-0 (twice) and 6-0, 6-0.
A five-star recruit in the class of 2026, Farm holds a career-high national ranking of No. 52 and is the highest-ranked recruit in the state of Oregon. She currently totals 15 wins over other five-star recruits and 16 wins over other four-star recruits. In addition, she is the 26th-ranked player in the UTSA Girls 18U category.
"We are always looking for players that are on the right side of the learning curve and that is the perfect description of Raegan," Herendeen said. "She is finding ways to improve and dominate in the Pacific Northwest and we believe she is going to continue that path this year and come to Lubbock hungry to help our team improve. We have seen her play her best tennis in a team environment and she is going thrive in college."
Valerie Shue | South Salem, New York
Valerie Shue is coming to Lubbock from South Salen, N.Y., where she attends John Jay High School and trains at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. A five-star recruit who has a career-high national ranking of No. 8 and a career-best ranking of No. 1 in the Eastern Section, Shue has won three USTA 18U Level 2 tournaments over the last year, coming in Naples, Fla., back in October 2024, in Midlothian, Va., in May 2025 and in West Point, N.Y., in June 2025.
The New York native made a singles semifinals appearance at the PTT Connecticut in June as well. Shue has compiled an impressive 8-1 record over other five-star recruits, a 10-3 record over other four-star recruits and added four wins over blue chip recruits.
"We knew from the time she set foot on campus for her official visit that Valerie was just the recruit we were looking for to be the first commitment of this class," Herendeen said. "Valerie saw early on what we are building at Texas Tech and she is the kind of player that is going to just keep improving. She has the perfect competitive spirit to thrive in the Big 12 and we know that she will make a big impact to our team on day one."
