The meet was delayed just a little over one hour due to lightning in the area
AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Tech track and field team wrapped up the first day of the Texas Invite Thursday evening at Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Oskar Edlund and Magi' Harris each won their 400m hurdles race. Edlund lowered his season best time to 49.47 – only his second race of the year. Meanwhile, Harris crossed the line at 59.52, also a season best.
Over in the 200m, Kimarlie Stewart clocked in at 20.57 (-1.9w) to finish fourth overall, while Jonathan Crawford finished eighth overall at 20.79 (-1.9w). Both Red Raiders registered new PB times.
The women's discus saw Shelby Frank collect her fourth win of the season in the event throwing 60.23m (197-7). Zoe Burleson finished behind Frank in second throwing 55.20m (181-1). McKenzie Davis capped off the 1-2-3 Tech finish with a throw of 52.98m (173-10).
