Rankings
In the week four USTFCCCA rankings released Tuesday afternoon, the Tech men were dubbed No. 10 in the country, while the women's team ranked No. 12.
Last Time Out
Distance and jump groups were in action last weekend in California as distance went to the Bryan Clay Invite, while jumps traveled to the Mt. Sac Relays. Ernest Cheruiyot dropped the No. 3 10k time in the country last weekend clocking in at 27:45.65. Meanwhile, Titus Kimaru went 8:38.91 in the 3000m steeplechase, good for 22nd in the NCAA.
In The Know
Malachi Snow will still be looking for a 110m hurdles time this weekend as his time two weeks ago was over the legal wind limit in College Station – he ran a 13.28 but the wind was over five m/s. In the 400m hurdles, Oskar Edlund will compete in the event for the second time this year. Two weeks ago, he ran his fastest season opener of 50.10 to place him just outside the top-10 entering this weekend.
Amori Pierson will be retuning back to the place where she broke the Tech shot put record. At the Texas Relays, the redshirt freshman landed a mark of 17.84m (58-6 ½) which is tied for No. 7 in the NCAA.
Three Red Raiders in Cheruiyot, Nathan Kapel and Zouhaire Redouane will travel to Stanford to run in the Payton Jordan Invite. All three will compete in the 5k.
