
Conference announces All-Tournament team

LUBBOCK, Texas – After winning the Big 12 Tournament title on Sunday, the conference announced its All-Tournament team members on Wednesday afternoon voted on by women's tennis head coaches.
The five Lady Raiders to earn All-Tournament recognition are Yekaterina Dmitrichenko, Jermine Sherif, Mariia Hlahola, Avelina Sayfetdinova and Hailey Murphy.
Dmitrichenko is the lone player to be honored in both singles and doubles after being named to the All-Tournament Team at court two singles and court two doubles. Joining Dmitrichenko for court two doubles recognition is teammate Murphy. The duo of Dmitrichenko and Murphy went 3-0 at two doubles during the tournament – getting wins over pairings from No. 39 Kansas, No. 21 Baylor and No. 22 UCF. In singles, Dmitrichenko was 2-0 and didn't drop a set in those wins, earning a victory against Baylor's Cristina Tiglea, 6-4, 6-0, and against UCF's Aya El Aouni, 6-4, 6-4, clinching the title with this match.
Sherif was named to the All-Tournament team at court six singles. She put together a 3-0 record at the position, picking up wins against Kansas' Anna Putilina, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, Baylor's Nanaka Sato, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2, and UCF's Hannah Rylatt, 6-2, 6-2. The tandem of Hlahola and Sayfetdinova went 2-1 at court one doubles to earn All-Tournament accolades at the position. They picked up two ranked wins over No. 31 Liubov Kostenko and Tiglea of Baylor, 6-4, and against No. 41 Olivia Lincer and Rylatt, 6-2, en route to a couple doubles points.
No. 13 Texas Tech is 22-2 on the season and will find out who it plays in the NCAA Tournament next Monday at 4 p.m. on ncaa.com.
