Mihyia Davis records first cycle in program history

No. 11/12 Red Raiders handle Mavericks in mid-week
Tech didn't hold back as they opened the game with nine runs on eight hits and were in control the whole game.
Lincoln went 4.0 innings allowing three runs on three hits while also striking out three. Chloe Riassetto came in for the final inning and allowed just one hit, needing only 10 pitches to seal the win.
How it happened:
Tech batted around the order and then some as the first five batters reached base safely. Davis and Hailey Toney recorded back-to-back singles before Bailey Lindemuth was hit by a pitch to load the bases. An Alexa Langeliers single scored one and Lauren Allred followed that up with a two-RBI single through the right side.
Victoria Valdez hit a double into right center to score two more runs before Davis came back around to hit a triple down the right field line that scored two. Toney added the final run of the inning on a sac fly to left, her fourth of the season.
Davis added another RBI in the second inning with a double that scored Demi Elder from second.
The Mavericks got a few runs back in the top of the third with a three-run homer, but Lincoln responded well as she retired the next four batters she faced.
Langeliers drove in the Red Raiders 11th run of the game on a single to center.
In the bottom of the fourth, Mihyia Davis came back up to the plate already 3-for-3 and needing a home run to complete the all-impressive cycle. On a 2-2 count, Davis saw a pitch she liked and drove it over the left field fence to complete the cycle and record her fourth home run of the season.
Riassetto put the finishing touches on the game and Valdez got the final out after throwing out the runner trying to steal second.
UP NEXT: The Red Raiders will host Arizona State this weekend with a chance to secure their first-ever Big 12 Regular Season Title.
