Both Red Raider programs are ranked top-8 going into the meet
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Heading into the final indoor meet of the season, the men's team goes in ranked No. 6, while the women's team goes in ranked No. 8.

History
The men's team will be looking to defend its 2024 national championship this weekend as the Red Raiders won last year's meet in Boston scoring 50.5 points. The bulk of their points (30) came from Terrence Jones who won the 60m and 200m, while Caleb Dean claimed the 60m hurdles title.

Overall, the Tech men have recorded six top-6 finishes since 2013 and have finished in the top-5 the last two seasons. For the women, they've recorded four top-10 finishes since 2007. Their highest-finish in program history is ninth (twice, 2009-10), scoring a program-high 21 points each time.
