Malachi Snow booked finals lane in the 60m and 60m hurdles Friday night
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Texas Tech men's and women's track and field teams wrapped of day one of the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships Friday evening at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

The women's team kicked off the meet first highlighted by Shelby Frank taking fifth in the weight throw with a heave of 22.91m (75-2). She caps off her collegiate indoor career in the weight earning First Team All-American honors three years in a row.
The men's team was highlighted by Malachi Snow as he qualified for the final in both the 60m sprint and 60m hurdles. Snow clocked in at 6.54 in the 60m before turning around 30 mins later with a time of 7.54 in the 60m hurdles.
Antoine Andrews punched his finals ticket with one of the next best four times as he went 7.59 to place sixth overall.
Notables
·     Success Umukoro (10th, 60m) and Brianna Howard (14th, 200m) earned Second Team All-American honors
·     Fanny Arendt (12th, 800m) finished with a time of 2:02.57, No. 6 all-time for Tech, giving her the 1-6 indoor times
·     Naomi Krebs false started in the 60m hurdles
·     Sean Gribble was a no height in the pole vault
