Macy Blackburn named to Hermann Midseason Watch List

The defender has scored a career-best three goals and tallied nine assists this season and was a 2024 Semifinalist
ST. LOUIS – Defender Macy Blackburn has been named to the 2025 Midseason Mac Hermann Award Watch list, the Missouri Athletic Club and Hermann Award committee announced Tuesday.
A 2024 semifinalist for the award, Blackburn is currently tied for second in the country in total assists and leads the country in assists by a defender.
The Red Raiders all-time leader in assists in program history with 42, Blackburn has scored  a career-best three goals in 2025 all while dishing out nine helpers. She needs just one more assist to reach double-digits for the third time in her career and has already through 12 matches has tied her career-high in points with 15.
Blackburn's 42 career assists are 15 more than Texas Tech Hall of Famer Taylor Lytle, who held the previous mark with 27.
Tuesday's announcement marks the next step in the process of awarding the award later in January, as following the conclusion of the 2025 NCAA Women's Soccer season, the Missouri Athletic Club and the committee of the Hermann Award (National Player of the Year) will announce the awards three finalists for 2025.
The award will be announced in St Louis as part of a dinner and ceremony on Jan. 9, 2026, at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.
