LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team will wrap its season-opening homestand this week when they welcome Angelo State into United Supermarkets Arena. The Lady Raiders and Rambelles will clash on Wednesday at 12 p.m. live on ESPN+.

LADY RAIDER QUICK HITS
- Tech has had a 20-point scorer in all three games this season--Vivian Gray with two and Lexi Gordon with one--and through three games is the only school in the Big 12 to have four players in the top 25 of the conference in scoring.

- Texas Tech has been excellent at limiting turnovers through three games, averaging only 11.7 per game and having yet to record over 13 turnovers in a single game so far this year. The Lady Raiders sit tops in the Big 12 and 26th nationally in turnovers per game.

EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Angelo State Rambelles will be opening their 2020-21 campaign this Wednesday when they travel north to Lubbock to face the Lady Raiders. The Rambelles look to build on an 18-10 record that the team accumulated in head coach Nate Harris's first year at the helm of the program. Angelo State reached the NCAA DII South Central Regional for the 13th time, making it the fourth appearance in a row since the 2015-16 season. The Rambelles are led by sophomore guard Sawyer Lloyd, who averaged 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds in 22 starts as a freshman. ASU will face the challenge of replacing its top two scorers from a season ago in De'Anira Moore and Catara Samuel, who both earned All-Conference nods in 2020.

- The Lady Raiders and Rambelles will be meeting for the 16th time in the two programs' histories this week.
- Tech has won 10 of the previous 15 matchups, including the last three.
- The series which dates back to 1975, and over the last 15 matchups, Texas Tech has won all seven meetings contested in Lubbock.
- Wednesday's game will be the first game in the series in 38 years, as the last non-exhibition game played between the Lady Raiders and Rambelles was in 1982--a 70-38 win for Tech in Lubbock.
- Tech has, however, hosted ASU in three exhibition games in the last decade, going 3-0 in those games. The last was a 73-51 win in November 2013.

The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team dropped its first loss of the season on Saturday, falling to Rice, 81-62, at United Supermarkets Arena.

The Lady Raiders were led by Lexi Gordon who scored a season high 21 points, including four triples. Chrislyn Carr tied her season high with 18 points with four three-pointers as well along with four points and four rebounds. Carr also became the 34th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.

Alexis Tucker scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds to tie with Vivian Gray for the team lead.
