ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
Texas Tech is off to its best start to a season in eight years heading into this Sunday's matchup with the Roadrunners. Led by superstar center Brittany Brewer, who is coming off her first career triple-double which included an NCAA-record-tying 16 blocks, and four Lady Raiders averaging double figures, Texas Tech is armed with a much-improved roster from a season ago as it gears up for Big 12 play later this week.
Â
Aside from Brewer--the NCAA blocks leader to this point in the season, rejecting over six shots per night—second-year head coach Marlene Stollings' Lady Raider cast also features 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr, two-way standout returner Sydney Goodson, and freshman Alexis Tucker, who leads the team in scoring at 16.2 points per game to go along with 9.1 rebounds.
