
Texas Tech Soccer Remains Perfect In Spring Play

Bossier City, La. -- Texas Tech soccer defeated LSU, 4-1, Saturday afternoon at Bossier Church Freedom Fields in Bossier City, La. to improve to 4-0 in spring soccer friendlies.
"It was a fun game with a great atmosphere," head Texas Tech soccer coach Tom Stone said. "Our hosts did a wonderful job getting over 1,000 fans out here for this game. We started nine freshman and two seniors and the level was quite high for long stretches of the game."
Jade King got the Red Raiders on the board early with the game's first goal coming off an assist from Mary Heiberger. The early enrollee would strike again for her third goal of the spring season before Rebekah O'Brien connected on her first two goals of the spring season courtesy of assists from Margret Begley and Natalie Schmutz.
The Red Raiders will look to close out the spring season with a perfect 5-0 record with their final game against TCU in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 23.
