The onslaught continued in the second quarter, as Tech piled on 29 more points, on its way to a 57-29 halftime lead.
Texas Tech nearly equaled its first-half output in the second half, putting up 56, while holding the Lions (0-4) to 22 points. The Lady Raiders shot 40-74 (54%) from the field and 6-14 from three-point range.
"We shot the ball well," Texas Tech head coach Candi Whitaker said. "I loved the tempo we played with. We shared the ball well, and had a lot of fun watching the ball go in and being efficient on offense."
Ivonne CookTaylor led the way with 26 points on 12-15 shooting. She had 16 at halftime, and did not play in the fourth quarter. She also had four rebounds, five assists and seven steals.
"I thought [Ivonne] was special," Whitaker said. "She has a beautiful jump shot. I think she was aggressive and wasn't pressing. She took open shots and shots that were good for her and I think that's one reason she was effective. She puts in extra time and stays after practice. Those are changes that she's made this year, and I think you see the result in her game."
Ryann Bowser had a career-high 17 points, on 6-9 shooting. She also had four steals of her own. Japreece Dean (17), Rayven Brooks (15), Leashja Grant (13) and Dayo Olabode (12) all scored in double figures. Grant had her second double-double in as many games as a Lady Raider (11 rebounds), and Rayven Brooks did not miss from behind the arc, going 4-4.
Jamie Roe had a career-high 10 rebounds to go along with her six points.
