Softball Adds Four To 2015 Signing Class

Lubbock, Texas -- Second year head softball coach Adrian Gregory announced Tuesday the signing of Hannah Broseman, Michaela Cochran, Raina O'Neal and Kassidy Scott who will be eligible to begin their careers as Red Raiders in the 2016-17 season.
"I am so excited about the addition of these four young ladies!," said Gregory. "The versatility that they will bring to our roster will be a dynamic addition. Kassidy Scott and Hannah Broseman are two competitive young ladies that bring depth to the circle. Raina and Michaela bring both speed and explosiveness to our outfield and lineup. I believe they will have wonderful careers as Red Raiders."
Broseman, a Cypress, Texas native, is an outstanding pitcher. Through her three years in the circle for the Mustangs, Broseman has racked up 26 wins while maintaining a 1.81 ERA. Through 228.2 innings pitched, Broseman has struck out 327 batters who have combined for a .183 batting average against her. In her junior season, Broseman amassed 15 wins in 20 appearances while holding a 1.63 ERA.
Scott, a pitching product of Piedmont High School in Oklahoma, has made 149 career appearances for her varsity squad. She has accounted for 59 wins in her career that includes 466.1 innings pitched. The right handed twirler has amassed a total of 437 career strikeouts while holding opposing batters to a .168 batting average.
O'Neal, a Richmond, Texas product, was a key member of the Fort Bend Travis High School squad that earned co-champion honors last season. The Fort Bend Travis team recorded seven wins last season with three of those wins coming as a result of a double digit scoring output by the Tigers.
Cochran, an infield specialist, made six appearances last season for Ennis High School. She has been tabbed as the No. 82 infield prospect after chalking up a .619 batting average and a .667 on bae percentage. She accounted for 13 hits, 13 runs and six RBI a year ago.
