GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Texas Tech went through an hour-long practice Thursday afternoon at Donald R. Dizney Stadium, its final preparation prior to Friday's NCAA second round match against Auburn.
The Red Raiders, who arrived in Gainesville late Wednesday evening, will face Auburn at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, roughly 24 hours after completing their final practice.
"I thought today was good," Tech head coach Tom Stone said. "Training was short and sharp and we kept to our usual day-before game routine. The team seems more than ready to go."
Tech is coming off an 8-0 rout of Prairie View A&M last weekend at the John Walker Soccer Complex. The Red Raiders are tied with Virginia for the most goals so far during the NCAA Championship.
Friday afternoon's match against Auburn will air live on SEC Network Plus as well as ESPN3.com.
