Students should present their Texas Tech ID at the stadium entrance to receive a complimentary ticket. Once all 500 tickets are gone, students will have to purchase a ticket for $3 per person.
"Our student body has done a great job supporting our team this season and we know that will continue Friday night," Tech head coach Tom Stone said. "We've annually ranked among the national leaders in attendance thanks not only to our great fans but our student body as well. Our fans create a special environment on Friday nights, and I know our team is excited to open the postseason in front of the home crowd once again."
Tickets are still on sale to the general public and can be purchased online or by calling the Texas Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH. Prices are set at $7 for adults and $3 for youth (ages 2-12).
The Red Raiders, who were selected to the NCAA Championship for a third-straight season on Monday, face Prairie View A&M in a 7 p.m. kickoff Friday evening at the John Walker Soccer Complex. Tech is 2-0 all-time when hosting a NCAA opening round match at home.
