Beckie, Hinkle Named All-Region

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech sophomore forward Janine Beckie and junior defender Jaelene Hinkle were named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Central Region First Team today as announced by the organization.
Beckie and Hinkle were each pivotal in Texas Tech's record-breaking 2013 season in which the Red Raiders won a school record 18 games while making a return trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Both have been named to the All-Region team multiple times in their careers.
Beckie, a 2012 NSCAA All-American, paced Tech with a team-leading 12 goals on the season while also adding four assists. The Highlands Ranch, Colo. native moved into fourth all-time with 26 career goals, 10 of which have been game-winners. In the 2013 postseason, Beckie found the back of the net three times.
Hinkle, a 2012 NSCAA All-Region Second Team selection, ended her junior campaign with a team-leading six assists while moving into fourth on the Texas Tech career list with 15.
Beckie is a two-time NSCAA All-Central Region First Team selection while Hinkle is making her third-straight appearance on the squad. Hinkle was tabbed to the third team as a freshman, and second team as a sophomore.
