
Tech Moves Up to No. 4 in Cross Country Rankings

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders cross country team moved back to the No. 4 spot in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll after dropping a spot last week.
The women's team won its second-straight team title with a perfect score of 15 points as Tech took the top 6 spots at the Texas Tech Open. Rose Tanui led the way with her second individual title and ran the 5K course in a time of 17:15.52.
Two other Big 12 women's teams are ranked in the poll as Colorado is No. 11 and Iowa State is No. 15. Villanova is the No. 1 women's cross country team with Florida State and Washington at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
