
Murray Claims Big 12 Coach of the Year Award

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's head cross country coach Jon Murray was honored as the Big 12 Coach of the Year for the third-straight year announced by the Big 12 today.
Murray led the Lady Raiders to their third-straight Big 12 title in his sixth season at Tech. He coached Rose Tanui to the Big 12 individual title and Big 12 Newcomer of the Year award. Four Lady Raiders earned all-conference honors and has the team ranked No. 3 by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Murray will lead the No. 3 Lady Raiders and Red Raider to the NCAA Mountain Regional on Salt Lake City, Utah, on Nov. 13.
