Valero Alamo Bowl Tickets Still Available

LUBBOCK, Texas - Ticket sales for the 2009 Valero Alamo Bowl have been swift through the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office; so swift, in fact, that Texas Tech has been issued more tickets for the Red Raider program's 33rd bowl appearance.
Known for its history of strong postseason ticket sales, Texas Tech ran through its initial allotment of 11,000 tickets by Tuesday afternoon. Bowl officials immediately sent more to the athletic ticket office. The last time the Red Raiders played in the San Antonio bowl game in 2001, Tech exceeded sales of 25,000 through its ticket office. The crowd for that game is the fifth-best in Valero Alamo Bowl history.
