
Tech Looks Towards NCAA Mountain Regionals

LUBBCOK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country teams next stop is the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships being held in Fort Collins, Colo., hosted by Colorado State on Sat., Nov. 15th.
Sally Kipyego leads the Lady Raiders into the Mountain Regional Championships and is looking for her third-straight Mountain Region title. The women's team of Kipyego Lillian Badaru, Asia Diaz, Michelle Guzman, Gladys Kipsang and Addison LeMaster are coming off of the first Big 12 Championship in program history.
The No. 9 Lady Raiders are the top ranked team in the Mountain Region followed by New Mexico (21), BYU (26), and Northern Arizona (28).
The men face a tough task as No.7 Northern Arizona, No. 11 BYU, No. 16 Colorado and No. 30 UTEP highlight the 10K race.
All-Big 12 runner Gilbert Limo leads the men along with Loagan Culotta, Cory Higgins and Nathan Millies into the Mountain Regional Championships, where they finished in 11th last season. Zack Dawson, Aaron Greer and Jake Szot round-out the team that should improve on last season's finish.
The women's 6K race starts at 10 a.m. and the men follow at 10:45 a.m.
