Badaru Finishes Fourth at Notre Dame Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's junior Lillian Badaru placed fourth and helped the No. 21 women's cross country team place 12th at the Notre Dame Invitational.
Badaru ran a time of 16:39 to finish in fourth place on the 5K course behind Brie Felnagle of North Carolina (16:21), Susan Kuijken of Florida State (16:26) and Alex Becker of Tulsa (16:36).
Junior Gladys Kipsang ran a time of 17:17 to finish 34th place and senior Asia Diaz placed 58th in a time of 17:36. Sophomore Michelle Guzman was the fourth Lady Raider to cross the line as she ran a time of 18:04 and placed 98th.
Senior Chep Boit ran a time of 18:17 to finish in 120th. Sophomore Addison LeMaster crossed the line in 134th in a time of 18:25.
Freshman Brintney Green in her first major meet as a Lady Raider ran a time of 18:32 to place 145th. Sophomore Katherine Priebe placed 181st with a time of 19:47.
Florida State, Princeton and Michigan were the top three teams at the Notre Dame Invitational.
The Red Raiders and other Lady Raiders will compete at the Cowboy Jamboree held by Oklahoma State, tomorrow morning.
