LUBBOCK, Texas - Seniors Priscilla Esquivel and Kim Cypert will play their final match at R.P. Fuller Stadium Sunday as Tech hosts Oklahoma State at 1 p.m on Senior Day.
With both teams tied for fourth in the Big 12 standings, the match could go a long way in determining the field for next month's Big 12 Championship. The Red Raiders have not qualified for the championship since 1999.
The Red Raiders (5-6-2, 3-3-1) enter the match coming off a strong defensive performance against Oklahoma Friday night that ended in a tie at nil.
The Cowgirls defeated Oral Roberts, 3-0, Friday and arrive in Lubbock standing 3-2-1 in the Big 12, 10-3-2 overall.
Oklahoma State has dominated the series the past few years, winning the last five of six. Tech's last victory was at home in 2000. The Red Raiders are 4-6-1 all-time against the Cowgirls and 3-2-1 at home.
The first 150 fans will receive free Tech beanies. For tickets, call (806) 742-TECH or (888) GO-BIG-12 or visit texastech.com.
