
Red-Black Game Scheduled for April 15

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech will begin preparations for the 2006 season March 22 when it conducts its annual spring drills followed by the traditional Red-Black Game.
The Red-Black Game will be played April 15 at 10 a.m. and is tentatively scheduled for Lowery Field in Lubbock should the Jones SBC Stadium turf project be underway at that point. The Red Raiders will begin spring practice Wed., March 22, and will conduct a total of 15 workouts that will culminate Mon., April 17.
The Texas Tech coaching staff will host its annual coaching clinic March 31-April 1 in conjunction with practices on both days.
The Red Raiders are coming off a 9-3 season, which was highlighted by Tech's third overall appearance in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. Texas Tech opens the 2006 season Sept. 2 against SMU at Jones SBC Stadium.
