Red Raiders Hold Final Practice

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Texas Tech Red Raiders moved closer to their Friday date against Minnesota as the squad conducted its final official practice of the 2006 season.
The Red Raiders worked out for just over an hour today at Desert Mountain High School in what will be the final official practice of the season. The large majority of the day was spent on special teams and hands drills which is a customary Thursday pracitce in a normal game week.
The Texas Tech travel squad will moved to an undisclosed hotel in the Phoenix area on Thursday afternoon where they will wrap up final prepartions for Friday night's game against the Golden Gophers.
Prior to the afternoon practice session, four Red Raiders participated in the Insight Bowl Media Day. Brandon Jones, Kelly Hildebrandt, Keyunta Dawson and Brock Jones visited with the media for about an hour at the Tempe Palms Hotel (media headquarters). Following the session, Brandon Jones and Brock Stratton spent sometime with the NFL Network to help them prepare for Friday's game.
Head Coach Mike Leach will address the media tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. in what will be the final press conference before Friday.
