TULSA, Okla. - The Texas Tech soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Tulsa on Sunday at Hurricane Stadium in Tulsa, Okla.
With the loss the Red Raiders drop to 1-6 on the season, while Tulsa improves to 2-2-2.
The Golden Hurricane got off to a hot start in the match as senior forward Carrie Schnarre tallied the opening goal just 23 seconds into the game. Tulsa would go on the build a 3-0 advantage in the period by adding goals at the 13:00 and 16:59 marks.
Schnarre tallied four points in the match as she notched a goal and added two assists.
In the second half, Molly Fitzsimmons put the Golden Hurricane up 4-0 as she beat Tech keeper Megan Knauss from 18-yards out.
Senior forward Kimmie Davis led the Red Raiders with five shots, but Tech was outshot in the match 14-9.
The Red Raiders are back in action on Sept. 16 when they travel to El Paso, Texas, to battle in-state rival UTEP.
