
Tech Track Signs Two from Houston

Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech track and field head coach, Wes Kittley, announced the signing of two student athletes from the Houston area to the men's sprints and middle distance group.
Brandon Washington signed his National Letter of Intent on Mon., Nov. 14. He is a native of Houston, Texas and attends Thurgood Marshall high school. Washington has posted personal bests of 47.44 in the 400M and 1:53 in the 800M. In 2005, Washington won the 400M at the District 20-5A meet with a 48.14 and finish fourth at regionals. He ran anchor leg for the 4x400M relay with a 46.7 and also anchored his high school 4x400M relay team to a 3:10.41, the fastest high school time in the country. He went on to finish second at the 5A state meet in the 400M.
Timothy Foster is a stand out at CyFalls high school in the 200M and 400M events. A native of Houston, Texas, Foster has clocked personal bests of 21.2 in the 200M and 48.01 in the 400M. His time of 48.01 came at the 2004 Youth National Championships, where he took the title in the event.
