LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech officials are expecting a complete and total "red out" for this weekend's homecoming game against Kansas State, and are counting on Red Raider fans to show their support by blanketing Jones SBC Stadium in red Saturday.
"We encourage fans to wear red to the game on Saturday as we show our unified support for the Red Raiders to the rest of the nation," Nathan Nash, Student Government Association President, said. "So put your red on and come on home."
Red "Wreck'em" t-shirts are available at the Double T Zone located at the north end of Jones SBC stadium for $15.99 and homecoming shirts are on special at one for $12 or two for $20. Red t-shirts and other Tech apparel can be found at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in the student union with portions of proceeds of every sale going to a student scholarship fund.
Saturday's game is scheduled for an 11 a.m. kickoff and will be televised on ABC.
