SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Texas Tech football team had another exciting day in San Diego as the Red Raiders and the Cal Golden Bears were treated to "Team Day" at the Sea World Adventure Park.
The Red Raiders chose to arrive in the morning so the team was the first to get a glimpse at this impressive marine park. Sonny Cumbie, Trey Haverty, Antonio Huffman, Adell Duckett and Nehemiah Glover were special guests as they got a private session from two of the park's dolphin trainers. The players were able to learn some tricks with these highly intelligent creatures and they even got to play a little football.
The team enjoyed over three hours in the park before returning to the hotel for position meetings. The Red Raiders will hold their third practice tonight at 5:30 p.m. (PT) at UC-San Diego.
Texas Tech and California are preparing for Thursday's Pacific Life Holiday Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium. The game will be televised live on ESPN beginning at 5 p.m. (PT) and 7 p.m. (CT).
