Tech Soccer to Host Oklahoma State, Oklahoma

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team will take on Oklahoma State, Fri, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m., under the lights at R.P. Fuller Stadium. Kick-off against Oklahoma is slated for Sun., Oct. 10, at 1 p.m.
Tech is coming off a 0-2 weekend of Big 12 action on the road. The Red Raiders were defeated by the Kansas Jayhawks, 5-0. Tech then traveled to Iowa State to take on the Cyclones. Tech was shut out by Iowa State, 3-0.
Oklahoma State comes into the match against Tech with a record of 9-2-1 and 1-2-0 in Big 12 action. The Cowgirls fell victim to Texas A&M, 3-0, and the Longhorns of Texas, 3-1. Oklahoma State's last win came against Missouri, 3-1, on Sept. 26, in Stillwater.
The Sooners of Oklahoma (4-4-3; Big 12 0-3-0) are currently experiencing a three-game losing streak with their last win coming against Tulsa, 3-1, on Sept. 12. In recent Big 12 action, Oklahoma was also defeated by the Lone Star duo of Texas, 1-0, and Texas A&M, 2-1, on the road.
Friday will be Fan Appreciation Day at R.P. Fuller Stadium while Sunday will be Family Day at Red Raider soccer. Tickets for the 2004 season are available by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 742-TECH (8324) or (888) GO-BIG-12.
