
Big 12 Championships Await Red Raider Cross Country

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech cross country is set to compete at the 2004 Big 12 Championships. This year's meet will be hosted by Kansas State and will take place at the Stateland Cross Country Course.
The women's 6,000-meter run will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the men's 8,000-meter race at 11 a.m. The top men and women's teams will be crowned league champion, while the top 15 individuals in each race will be awarded Big 12 medallions.
Senior Bridget Tidwell will be Tech's top female performer and will lead the way for senior Brionne Yosten, senior Stefanie Calhoun, junior Abby Schubert, senior Kelly Blikre and sophomore Anna Hagood.
Leading the way for the men will be Haron Lagat who has been Tech's top male performer in the last three races. In his last performance, Lagat earned a 23rd-place finish at the Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
