
Tech Soccer Concludes 2004 Season With Senior Night

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team will conclude the 2004 season Fri., Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. as the Red Raiders host intra-state rival and Big 12 opponent Baylor. Red Raider senior Allison Seifert will be honored as a four-year starter with Senior Night festivities.
Tech women's soccer continued Big 12 and non-conference action on the road this past weekend as the team traveled to Columbia and Cape Girardeau, Mo., to face Missouri and Southeast Missouri State, respectively.
The Red Raiders fell to the Tigers, 4-1. Tech's lone goal was scored by freshman Ashley Reed, her third on the season, while Junior Megan Knauss started in goal for Tech and made 11 saves.
Tech then fell to Southeast Missouri State of the Ohio Valley Conference, 2-1. Freshman Jenifer Thomas tallied her fourth goal of the season and freshman Priscilla Esquivel was credited with her first assist. Knauss again made the start in net and registered five saves.
Baylor currently leads the series with Tech, 8-0. At the last meeting between the two teams, Baylor defeated the Red Raiders, 3-0, in Waco. Baylor is currently ranked ninth in the Big 12 with an overall record of 5-8-2 and a conference record of 2-5-1.
