TCU Edges Texas Tech In Overtime, 1-0

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU's Jenny Swanson scored just minutes in overtime as the Horned Frogs dropped Texas Tech 1-0 on Sunday afternoon to give the Red Raiders their third defeat of the season.
The Texas Tech offense couldn't match its defense in the first half as the Frogs outshot the Red Raiders 6-0 but the Tech defense led by goalkeeper Megan Knauss kept them off the scoreboard. The Red Raiders showed some life in the second half as Tech took five shots in the period including four on goal.
In the overtime, TCU's Amy Van Zandt took a shot deep in the box that was blocked by Tech goalkeeper Megan Knauss but Swanson was there for the rebound and headed it into the back of the goal to seal the win.
The loss drops Texas Tech to 0-3 on the year and extends Tech's current losing streak to 20 games.
The Red Raiders return to the field next Sunday as they will take on North Texas at 1 p.m. in Denton.
