RAIDERS OPEN BIG 12 PLAY AFTER SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND
Texas Tech head coach Felix Oskam and his Red Raiders finally got into the win column last weekend as Tech defeated Texas State 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Red Raiders came away with a tie on Friday night in Nacogdoches as Tech and SFA battled to a 1-1 tie through two overtime periods.
Texas Tech will get a strong test to open league play as the Red Raiders will travel to Stillwater to take on an Oklahoma State team that is currently undefeated on the year as they stand at 8-0. Oklahoma State is averaging 5 goals-per-game as the Cowgirls have netted the ball 40 times in eight games this year. Adriane Radtke leads the team with 10 goals scored and 39 shots.
The Kansas Jayhawks will come to Lubbock on Sunday to take on Texas Tech in what will be the first official home game of the season. The Jayhawks are 8-1 on the year with their lone loss coming to Wisconsin (3-2) on Sept. 7. Kansas is averaging 2 goals-per-game and Caroline Smith leads the team with 11 goals.
