Texas Tech Battles SFA To 1-1 Tie

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Texas Tech soccer team battled the Stephen F. Austin Lady Lumberjacks to a 1-1 tie after two overtimes at the SFA Intramural Complex in Nacogdoches on Friday night.
Freshman Jennifer Vasquez put the Red Raiders on the scoreboard for the first time this season when she scored the first goal of the game at the 12:44 mark in the first period. Stephen F. Austin would battle back as they scored the tying goal at the 36-minute mark.
The two defenses would battle it out the remainder of the game and neither team was able to score through two overtime periods.
Texas Tech returns to action on Sunday afternoon as the Red Raiders travel to San Marcos to take on the Texas State Bobcats at 1 p.m.
