LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Red Raider soccer team will close out the home portion of its 2003 schedule this weekend as Tech will face Iowa State on Friday night (7 p.m.) and Missouri on Sunday.
Texas Tech (2-11-1; 1-6 Big 12) must win two of its final three games and get some help from other league schools if it hopes to make an appearance in the Big 12 Conference Tournament in San Antonio in early November. After matches with Iowa State and Missouri, Tech will close out the regular-season schedule against Baylor on Oct. 31 in Waco.
The Red Raiders have the best part of their schedule coming up if they hope to make a run at the Big 12 Tournament as Iowa State, Missouri and Baylor all have just one league win. All three schools are 1-5 in league play while Texas Tech stands at 1-6.
On Sunday, the Red Raiders will honor seniors Kerri Campbell, Catie Arsenault and Tiana Boyea as these three young women will play their final home games. The game against Missouri is set for 11 a.m. at R.P. Fuller Stadium.
