Post-Game Notes
* Texas Tech met Washington in tonight's elimination game by virtue of a 6-0 loss at the hands of second-ranked Rice earlier in the day. Washington eliminated Harvard by a score of 4-2 in the first elimination game this morning at 11 a.m.
* Tonight's starter Nathan Fouts made his 19th consecutive start of the season and has now started in every game that he has pitched. Fouts pitched seven innings allowing three earned runs with four strikeouts.
* Senior third baseman Jake Brown extended his current hitting streak to seven games with a single in his first at-bat in the top of the second inning.
* Texas Tech's 16 straight scoreless innings today is the longest scoreless drought of the season. The previous high was 14 innings in two games against Kansas (third inning of game one on April 12 through the seventh inning of game two on April 13.
* Senior right-handed reliever Steve Rowe became Texas Tech's all-time appearances leader tonight as he made his 86th career appearance in a Red Raider uniform. Rowe, the only four-year pitcher on Texas Tech's roster, surpassed the old record of 85 set by Brad Ralston (1996-99).
