LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country teams will hit the road again this weekend at it races in the NCAA Regional meet held in Albuquerque, N.M. This weekend will mark the second time in 2002 that the teams will have raced in the Land of Enchantment as they competed at the Lobo Invitational in September.
The women have been lead by junior Bridgett Tidwell (Crawford, Texas) all season but the team improved as a whole last week at the Big 12 Championships. Several runners turned in personal record times last week and the coaching staff is looking for those times to be lowered again this week.
Then men also had several personal victories last week in Columbia, Mo., despite its 12th place finish. Joseph McCellon (Alvin, Texas) turned in the teams best time at the conference championships, 25:15.97, and he turned in a top 20 finish at the Lobo Invitational as the men's team placed sixth.
