
Tech Soccer to Finish Season Against Baylor Tonight

LUBBOCK, Texas - Lindsey Wile (Austin, Texas) has been a constant for the Texas Tech women's soccer team since she set foot on campus in 1999. Wile who has started every game for Tech since 1999 will be making her 76th consecutive and final start as the Red Raiders will close out the regular season when they host the Baylor Bears tonight at R. P. Fuller Stadium, kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The Red Raiders enter the contest looking to go out on a winning note and set the tone for next season. Tech enters the match with a 2-16 overall record and a 0-9 mark in the Big 12. This will be the final match of the season for the Red Raiders as they failed to qualify for the Big 12 Soccer Tournament. The Red Raiders will be led into the match by Wile and sophomore Michaela Roberts (San Antonio, Texas) who leads the team with four goals and eight points on the season. Megan Knauss (Tigard, Oregon) has made four consecutive starts coming into the match and has made at least six saves in each start.
Baylor will also miss the Big 12 Tournament and enters Friday's match with a 7-9-2 overall record and a 1-6-2 mark in Big 12 play. The Bears lead the all-time series with Tech 6-0, including a 7-0 win over the Red Raiders last season in Waco, Texas.
In addition to being Senior Night, the team will also be having team appreciation night and will be giving out t-shirts for the first 100 fans in attendance and will be able to buy tickets with a buy one get one free discount.
