
Tech Soccer to Host Missouri and Kansas

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team will return to R. P Fuller Stadium for the first time since Sept. 6 this weekend, as they host Missouri and Kansas. Tech will battle the Missouri Tigers on Friday night at 7 p.m. and will take on the Kansas Jayhawks on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Red Raiders (2-8, 0-2 Big 12) will look to even their record in the Big 12 Conference with a pair of wins this weekend. Junior Catie Arsenault (Keller, Texas) leads the team with two goals while freshman Beth Lippert (Woodinville, Wash.) ranks 5th in the Big 12 with 34 saves.
Missouri enters Friday's game with a 5-3-2 overall record and a 0-1-1 Big 12 mark. Last weekend the Tigers fell to Nebraska 4-0 and tied Colorado 2-2 in Columbia, Mo. Kansas enters the match 7-1-2 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play. The Jayhawks defeated Colorado 5-1 and tied Nebraska 1-1 last weekend.
After this weekend, the team will take to the road to battle Texas on Oct. 11 and Texas A&M on Oct. 13. The Red Raiders will return home on the weekend of Oct. 18-20 to battle Nebraska and Colorado at R. P. Fuller Stadium.
