- Kliff Kingsbury's 37 completions is a Jack Trice Stadium record, passing the previous best of 36, set by Josh Wallwork of Wyoming in 1996. The 37 completions for Tech is also a team record (36, Wyoming, 1996). The 51 attempts by Tech ties for fourth in stadium history.
- Lane Danielsen's one catch gives him 83 for his career, tied for eighth with Jason Jacobs (1982-83). Keith Krepfle is in seventh with 94. Danielsen's 28 yards moves him to 1,406, sixth all-time. Jim Doran (1948-50) is in fifth with 1,410. Danielsen's 79-yard touchdown run is the longest run of the season for the Cyclones. Hiawatha Rutland had a 41-yard run against Tennessee Tech.
- Michael Wagner's 102 rushing yards tonight mark his fourth career 100-yard game, and his second consecutive (107 vs. Nebraska).
- Seneca Wallace was 15-of-22 (68.2%) tonight. This is the 15th time in 18 games that he has completed 50% or more of his passes. Wallace now has 291 completions in his career, fifth all-time. Sage Rosenfels (1997-2000) is in fourth with 306. Wallace's 148 passing yards tonight give him 3,845 for his career, fifth all-time. David Archer (1982-83) is in fourth with 4,104. Wallace's one touchdown pass gives him 22, tying him for sixth with George Amundson (1970-72). Archer is in fifth with 23. Wallace's 185 yards of total offense moves his career total to 4,472, fifth all-time. Wallace passes Troy Davis (1994-96, 4,382). Todd Bandhauer (1995-98) is in fourth with 4,763. Wallace has 1,801 passing yards this season, ninth all-time. Amundson is eighth with 1,997.
