Texas Tech Cross Country Teams Place at Regional Meet

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country teams make a strong showing at the Mountain Regionals at Brigham Young University. Both the men's and women's top runners finish in the top 50.
The women's cross country team placed 10th at the Mountain Regionals with junior Shannon Spaulding leading the way finishing in 39th place while running a time of 23:11 in the 6K race. Sophomore Katie Lyman finished in 48th place running a time of 23:19.
Sophomore Joseph McClellon lead the Red Raider men's cross country team to a 14th place finish placing 48th and running the 10K course in a time of 32:40. Sophomore Scott Moore completed the race placing 55th and running the course in a time of 32:54.
The men's field at the Mountain Regionals is one of the strongest in the nation, with seven of the teams being ranked in the top 25.
The NCAA Championships will be held on Nov. 19 in Greenville, S.C.
