Red Raider Baseball Adds To 2003 Signing Class

LUBBOCK, Texas - The 2003 Texas Tech baseball signing class grew to a total of 16 players today as the Red Raiders announced the signing of nine more student-athletes who will come to Texas Tech next Fall.
The Red Raiders got commitments from Christopher Hansen, Omar Bramasco, Christian Colonel, Corey Gerstner, Aaron Jones, Anthony Flores, Greg Attencio, Doug Beck and Juan Razzo. Of the nine new signees, five are pitchers and four are infielders.
Christian Colonel, a 6'-2 infielder from College of Southern Idaho, hit .324 last season with 59 hits and 23 RBI. Omar Bramasco, a 5'10 infielder from Long Beach Community College, hit .289 last season with 12 doubles and 26 RBI. Doug Beck is a 6'2 infielder from Lamar Junior College in Colorado and was 24th in the nation last year in RBI. The final infielder in this group is Chris Hansen from the Community College of Southern Idaho. Hansen hit .341 last season with eight doubles and 18 RBI.
With the addition of five pitchers in this group of signees, Texas Tech has raised it total number of pitchers to eight who will join Tech in the fall of 2002. Aaron Jones (El Camino Community College), Anthony Flores (Lubbock High School/Clarendon College), Juan Razzo (San Diego City College), Corey Gerstner (North Central Junior College) and Greg Attencio (University of New Mexico/Lamar Junior College) will all compete on the mound for Texas Tech next season.
