LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's soccer team lost its sixth consecutive game 2-1 to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls at the OSU soccer complex in Stillwater, Okla. as it continued Big 12 Conference action Sunday afternoon.
The Cowgirls (6-5, 1-2) got an unassisted goal in the 85th minute from Jere Boykin, her first goal on the season, which proved to be the difference for OSU.
The Red Raiders (2-9, 0-4) took a 1-0 lead into the half after sophomore Rachel Mavris' second goal of the season on an assist from freshman Roxanne Frilot in the 25th minute.
"We played well enough to win today," said Tech soccer coach Felix Oskam, "but right now it just seems like all the breaks are going against us."
OSU Tied the game at 1 early in the second half on Jolene Schweitzer's seventh goal on the season with the assist going to Joanne Edwards.
In an attempt to shake things up in his lineup Oskam decided to start freshman Lindsey Hahn in goal for the first time this season.
Tech will return home for three games this week starting with a non-conference match up against West Texas A&M on Wednesday night at 5 p.m. The Red Raiders will then return to Big 12 action on Friday night at 7 p.m. with Kansas and then play again on Sunday morning at 10 against Missouri.
