LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech wrapped up preseason workouts Thursday with a 2 ? hour afternoon session on the artificial turf in Jones SBC Stadium.
With spring practice and three weeks of competing against each other behind them, the Red Raiders are ready for the season to begin.
"Everybody looked good today, looked sharp," quarterback Kliff Kingsbury said. "We're ready to play against somebody else."
Defensive end Robert Wyatt reiterated Kingsbury's remarks and added that the team is anxious to get started.
"We're anxious to get out there and see what we can do," Wyatt said. "We've been practicing since the spring and we're ready to get out there against somebody other than ourselves."
The Red Raiders will unveil their new offense Saturday when Texas Tech hosts New Mexico in the Transamerica Hispanic College Fund Football Classic. The game is set to kickoff at 7:07 p.m. on Fox Sports Southwest from Jones SBC Stadium.
"We're going to come out with a new look. I think the fans will enjoy it," Kingsbury added.
Texas Tech will not practice Friday, but use the day as a team meeting day to go over Saturday's game plan.
